In another week we’ll be together. And for 2019 it’ll be the first time all of us will be in one place. Dan. Dan. Bribo. Sokee. Mowens. Guns. TKW. TLD. Buddy. Me. It’s not as easy to lead the band as it once was. We’re here to make melodies. Finally, at Charm City we will. It seems like the passing of time makes it difficult to play the same tune. Nothing is helped when the calendar is less full than it once was. We’re still committed.
‘Cross is changing. ‘Cross has changed. I wonder if weekend events will veer back into more of a participation thing. Or if some will continue trying to cut and paste a Belgian image over what we are, and proclaim success. The high water mark for cyclocross in the states has come and gone. Our little troupe lives outside these lines, and easily rolls with whatever is tossed. We’re here for reasons that have nothing to do with Belgium. We’re for each other.
