For the past 22 hours I’ve been channeling my inner Queer Eye and playing with a new toy. After two decades or more it’s now, “Goodbye various Ikea Billy bookcases and hello built in wall unit.” Something I’ve fantasized about since creating my new studio space almost two years ago. And voila (that’s French for just like that) it’s complete. Self-closing doors and everything. I’ll ponder the shelves and placement of goods for a long while knowing my obsessive decorating obsessions. But at least the furniture is built and installed. So who needs some Scandinavian 4mm allen keys not made in Scandinavia?
