This is something I’ve fetishized over since 2016. I asked for Rich’s (@richroat RIP) help later that year. The project was about creating a tie that incorporated the tessellated logo pattern @houseindustries created for my bicycle art files. The scale came easily. Choosing some colors less so.

The concept bounced around in emails for years. Me with Rich. Perhaps Rich with Andy and Bondé. Me with @joshbachltd in Manhattan.

It’s all fun stuff. None of it gets in the way of making frames (and forks) or anything else attached to my day job.

Finally as of this week I signed off on three versions. We anticipate a 10-12 period of samples, prototyping, and electronic mail. Maybe by summer I’ll have ties.
