The KAS Thing

by | October 8, 2020

A couple maybe three weeks ago I posted several times showing a client’s RS painted in colors I first used some forty years ago. Anthracite and champagne. This originated on the Spanish Kas Team frames made by Masi in the early 1970s.

Here’s me with one of my own bicycles painted that way. All Columbus SL with Campagnolo Super Record components and Cinelli, Clement, and Nisi parts – and the ever present Spécialités T.A. bidon cage. And my beloved Saab wagon.

Pal Len Preheim (RIP) shot this picture. We’re at the Tour of Somerville in 1979.
