One would be hard pressed to find a more elegant ensemble of material for bicycle frame building than the collection of investment cast parts designed and made by Tetsuro Harada of Samson Bicycles in Osaka, Japan. I began using these components in 1982 and made over 1,000 frames with them through the middle 1990s. In 2014, I published a page on this site that recalls my history with Mr. Harada. I have been adding to my inventory list regularly, making this material available to fellow tradesmen in North America and beyond. Another parcel arrived today. Samson components include lugs in classic and oversize dimensions, bottom bracket shells for oversized tubing, fork crowns for 24mm track and Max blades, precision dropouts for track, road, and front forks, and lovely inserts for seat stay connections.
